Vacancy: Bartender Eindhoven

In the bartender position at The Harbour Club, you will be partly responsible for the daily operational running of the bar. This includes; preparation and presentation of various beverages, ordering and stocking and entertaining guests. You are strong in dealing with guests with their specific needs and desires. The position also focuses on beverage preparations for parties and events.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Knowledge

  • Being fully aware of the concept of The Harbour Club
  • Being fully aware of the assortment to be sold
  • Knowledge of beverages such as wine, beers and especially cocktails is a plus
  • Inform, advise and explain the drinks and menu to guests

Quality control

  • Overseeing the proper presentation of products, both beverages and food
  • Receiving complaints/specialities from guests, resolving them yourself as best as possible and/or passing them on to management
  • Adhere to The Harbour Club guidelines at all times by following proper procedures.
  • Compliance with safety, health and safety and HACCP regulations
  • All cocktails should look the same, all according to guidelines THC, BLBAJ

Work behind the bar

  • Making and serving beverages
  • Taking orders and entering them correctly into the cash register
  • Control, remit and account for monies received
  • Receiving guests, taking orders, giving information about drinks/dishes
  • Passing or preparing orders yourself (pouring, tapping, covering bar snacks)
  • Entertaining guests at the bar
  • Getting the cash register ready for use when the bar opens
  • Storing and depositing money in prescribed manner
  • Cocktail knowledge, what standard cocktails, own iniative, etc
  • Making syrups and other preparatory work

Other work

  • Cleaning up and cleaning work areas and bar equipment after duty hours
  • Taking care of mise en place, such as checking out the bar and seating area
  • Replenishing bar stock by fetching and stocking needed items
  • Disposal of waste

Work experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a bartender (HOW MANY YEARS, BASIC KNOWLEDGE, ETC)
  • MBO level 2 -3 working and thinking level;
  • Understanding of safety and social hygiene (legal) regulations
  • Knowledge of the business rules and frameworks of the business formula
